A custody battle could be part of the fallout of Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert’s impending divorce. Also, her famous sisters have spoken out on the split.

Braxton reportedly wants to get full custody of her and Herbert’s four-year-old son, Logan. The news comes just days after it was reported that Braxton filed for divorce just a month shy of her ninth wedding anniversary with Herbert. On top of petitioning for full custody, she also hopes to dodge having to pay Herbert spousal suppor. Interestingly enough, Herbert manages Braxton’s career. It’s not clear how long this agreement will stay in place considering their split. One of Braxton’s reps confirmed the divorce in a statement.

“At this time we can confirm Ms. Braxton has made an extremely difficult decision and has filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert. Collectively, their son Logan and his well-being during this extremely unfortunate process is most important. We ask that everyone respects her privacy during this incredibly difficult time. She appreciates everyone’s love and prayers."

Trina and Towanda Braxton also shared their thoughts on the split with TMZ as they and Traci Braxton were spotted at LAX. They confirmed they flew in to support their youngest sister this week.

“That’s what we do as Braxtons,” Towanda said. “We’re supportive of everybody, you know? That’s what we do.”

She then pointed out Tamar isn’t alone when it comes to public divorces in the family.

“Trina’s been divorced, I’ve been divorced, our mother’ been divorced, Toni’s been divorced,” she added. “We might have a divorce party, you never know.”

Trina broke her silence and offered up advice for fans who might be struggling with divorce as well.

“I would say make sure it’s something you want to do,” she said. “Nobody wins in divorce. But if you want a divorce, make sure it’s right…Good job Tamar.”

Towanda also shut down rumors that they split after their marriage went downhill because of Tamar getting from The Real.

“That’s not it. It’s been a long, long, long going situation that will be revealed probably on ‘Braxton Family Values.’”

When asked if Tamar had changed, Towanda said, “No. She changed by covering it up if anything.

While they didn’t’ really have a message for Herbert when asked, they did say they were happy Tamar made the right decision for her.
