Paris Jackson will need "intense therapy" following her alleged suicide attempt, E! News reported Friday.

The 15-year-old was hospitalized on June 5 following what police believe was a suicide attempt. A 911 call tape that was released Tuesday revealed that the daughter of the late Michael Jackson swallowed 20 Motrin pills and cut her wrist with a knife.

"She has a couple weeks of very intense therapy [ahead of her] before anything else happens," a source said. "Where she does it all depends on the best place."

There were reports this week that Paris would spend the summer with her biological mother, Debbie Rowe. The two formed a mother and daughter relationship this past spring after years of separation. Rowe granted custody of Paris and her 16-year-old brother to their father in 1999. Since Michael's death in June 2009, Katherine and later TJ Jackson have become the legal guardians of his children, but Paris has become very close to her motherand has visted Rowe at her home.

"When [Paris] is out at the ranch, she doesn't have bodyguards or drivers. It is a lot more of a normal setting," the source said.

The insider also added that Paris' reported attempt to take her life is a situation that was building for quite some time. Paris has allegedly been seeking treatment for depression at UCLA Medical Center where she is currently hospitalized. She has been working with doctors for the past year and the source said that Paris' continuing therapy would determine where she spent her summer.

"It boils down to what happens after therapy," the source said.
