Could Kelly Ripa's daughter, Lola Consuelos, be preparing to follow in her footsteps and embark on a career in the world of entertainment?

Following a cooking segment last month that featured the 16-year-old appearing alongside her mother and her mother's co-host, Ryan Seacrest, at Live with Kelly and Ryan, a report revealed that while the teenager does like attention, she isn't too sure if she would like to join the family business.

“Lola is flattered with the attention but she also has her head on straight when it comes to her future,” a source close to the Consuelos family revealed to Hollywood Life on Dec. 19.

The source added that the girl simply doesn't know if she wants to join the family business and added that she definitely wants to further her education and go to college.

In addition to daughter Lola Consuelos, Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, are also parents to 20-year-old Michael, who has filmmaker aspirations, and 14-year-old Joaquin. As fans may have seen, Ripa and her husband often share photos of their sons, but their daughter appears to be more picky when it comes to the images her mother posts on Instagram. As Ripa often jokes about on Live, Lola requires her approval for photos being shared by either of her famous parents.

According to the Hollywood Life source, Lola said during a recent appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan that she would like to appear on the show as a host in the near future. However, when it comes to her life away from the cameras, Lola does her best to stay as grounded as she can.

"She enjoys having as much of a normal life as possible and she likes the life she has right now," the source noted. "She realizes that she is afforded some shortcuts if need be if she wants to explore entertainment but she wants to earn whatever she does and college is something that is more important than being a star right now.”

As fans of the morning talk show will recall, Lola cooked a Thanksgiving dish with her mom and her mom's co-host, Seacrest, who she refers to as “Uncle Ry Ry,” in November.
