Justin Bieber fans are raving about the new cover of Complex magazine, which shows the singing idol's face looking much different than what they've become accustomed to.

Bieber's usually flawless face appears to be bleeding and swollen as if he has just ended a boxing match. Bieber's cover story compares pop stardom to a contact sport and in that sense says that the singer knows how to "roll with the punches."

Bieber's fans said the pop icon looked "sexy" and "hot" in the photo shoot.

"its hard 2c those pics of u but I can imagine u laughing back &standing right back up! <3," said Twitter user @MinVAusa.

"I really liked that boxing photoshoot, it made me smile especially that wink at the end!," Tweeted user @Biebsforever77.

@SallyDex tweeted: "SEXY and definitely something new."

Some fans also found the cover story inspiring and the majority were re-tweeting this quote from Bieber:

"I give up a personal life, I give up friends and family to pursue what I love and make fans happy... There's no point in doing this if I'm not going to be the best."

Bieber also talked about the pressure of stardom and how dealing with criticism is part of that pressure.

"There's a lot of people that I know who wouldn't be able to handle the position that I'm in now, because it's too much pressure." Bieber told the magazine.
