Fans of Donald Glover's highly anticipated series Atlanta can finally breathe again.

Earlier, Glover revealed that a second season was in the works, however, he did not confirm when it will officially resume. Now, the comedy series has an official premiere date and it is set to return on FX for its second season on March 1, 2018.

Atlanta made its debut on Sept. 6, 2016, and immediately received praise for its experimental approach.

"We didn't look at it as a sitcom. We looked at it as 30 minutes on television," Glover said.

Glover, who goes by his stage name Childish Gambino, is also the creator and producer of the hit series, but he also stars in the show as Earn Marks. The series is about two cousins that try to navigate their way through Atlanta's rap scene in an effort to improve their lives, as well as their families lives.

Will Atlanta Pick Up Where It Left Off?

As the show makes its return, there will reportedly be a few changes. FX revealed that Atlanta Season 2 is officially titled Robbin' Season. Donald's brother Stephen, who is an executive producer of the series, shared some insight behind the title and how it will relate to the new season.

"People have money and people need money. You might get your package stolen off your front porch. It's a very intense and desperate time. We wanted to make that a backdrop to the season. We wanted to make a transition from their old lives to where they're heading now," said Stephen.

Although the title has been changed, the characters will remain the same. Glover will indeed reprise his role as Earn Marks and continue to manage his cousin, Alfred Miles.

The Childish Gambino In Donald Glover

When Glover isn't directing and producing, he's making music. As previously reported, the rapper is one of the many performers to take the stage at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. This will also be the director's first time performing at the award show.

Glover is up for five nominations, one for Record of the Year for his hit single "Redbone" and Album of the Year Awaken, My Love. The actor has also received two Golden Globe Awards as well as two Emmy Awards.

As if Glover's Grammy performance wasn't the perfect way to kick off 2018, on Friday, Jan. 5, the actor welcomed another child with his girlfriend Michelle. The couple welcomed a baby boy, which will make the second boy for the couple as they already have a son.

Fans of Glover probably remember that he thanked his girlfriend Michelle and his first born and unborn son while he accepted his award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2017 Emmy Awards.

"I want to thank my baby, my son, for being the joy in my life. I want to thank my unborn son, we're listening to Stevie Tonight," Glover said.

Atlanta returns to FX on March 1, 2018, at 10 p.m.
