Tyler the creator has been in the news recently and not always under the most positive circumstances, but the Odd Future frontman partook in some philanthropy recently, when he gave away piles of his clothes to the homeless in Los Angeles.

Though Tyler maintained his usual foul-mouthed antics in the video, which shows the rapper going through his closet and collecting boxes of clothing before taking it to a city street to donate to the homeless, the act seemed genuinely kind.

As soon as Tyler announces he left a "box of fresh ass clothes" a group of onlookers rush toward the box and begin grabbing the clothes by the handful. Tyler then goes to his SUV to get even more clothes and tells the recipients to share with each other, but to little avail.

As of late, Tyler has been in the news more fore his shenanigans with his pal Justin Bieber than for charity work. Tyler and Bieber were spotted allegedly smoking marijuana at a Kanye West listening session in Los Angeles on June 14 and for speeding through Bieber's gated the community in the Canadian pop star's Ferrari.

And earlier this month Alitha Stone, a 24-year-old campaigner from Australia, wrote a piece in The Guardian, which accused Tyler of verbally abuseing her and inciting his Twitter followers to do the same. Stone learned Tyler was in Australia for a signing at the clothing store Culture Kings and took expecption to the event after she heard some of Tyler's lyrics, which she deemed misogynistic.

She then tweeted at the Culture Kings and Tyler, saying she would visit the clothing store to protest Tyler's appearance. Tyler retweeted Stone's post which resulted in a barrage of threatening tweets aimed at her from his fans. She also attended a show Tyler performed at in Australia, where she captured a video of the rapper further berating her.
