The 2018 Screen Actor Guild Awards is the next big awards show heading to the television screen that will bring together Hollywood's finest for a night of honors and recognition.

While the entertainment industry is still reeling from the ongoing sexual assault and harassment epidemic, many of the actors and actresses have begun to try and move forward by standing together in unity and strength.

There hasn't been much confirmation if the SAGs will tackle the scandals or if the attendees will be wearing all black again, as most celebrities did for the Golden Globes. However, there are some other interesting tidbits that everyone can muse over until the upcoming gala.

Here are five things you need to know before watching the SAG awards:

1. There Will Be A Woman Power Table

It was announced that there would be more women presenters this year for the SAG awards just like its recent predecessors, the Golden Globes and the Critics' Choice Awards. The SAG is also known for its intensive selection of seating the attendees, which will be a bit more difficult this year because of the recent movements that have taken place.

The female presenters for the night reportedly will all be seated together at a "power table." The list of presenters includes Halle Berry, Jessica Lange, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn, Lupita Nyong'o, and Maya Rudolph.

2. The Actors Select The Winners

What makes the SAG awards different is that the entertainers get to choose who deserves to take home the gold. While the competition is very tight this year, it will be interesting to see if the critically acclaimed films Shape of WaterLady Bird, and Call Me by Your Name will continue to take home all the awards.

3. James Franco Is Expected To Attend

Despite the fact that the actor is facing allegations of sexual exploitative behavior, a rep for Franco confirmed the actor will be in attendance at the ceremony. The Pineapple Express star is nominated in the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role category for his performance in the film, The Disaster Artist. Franco has denied the allegations, however the actor did skip out on the Critics Choice Awards where he won the Best Actor award.

4. Morgan Freeman Will Receive A Lifetime Achievement Award

Veteran actor Morgan Freeman will be presented with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding career which spans over 40 years. The actor had been nominated for SAG awards and won one for his portrayal in the film Million Dollar Baby opposite Hilary Swank.

5. Kristen Bell Will Be The First Ever Host

Bad Moms actress Kristen Bell will be the SAG's first ever hostess. This will also mark Bell's first time ever to host any awards show. Reportedly the actress will open the ceremony with a women-led segment called "I am an actor."

The 2018 Screen Actors Guild Awards airs on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 8 p.m. on TBS and TNT.
