As the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics ends on Feb. 25, television networks will resume their scheduled programming with new episodes.

'This Is Us' Wraps Up Filming

Viewers are looking forward to the return of NBC's powerful family drama ensemble, This is Us. New episodes are expected starting on Feb. 27. However, according to Entertainment Weekly, the show's production on its sophomore season has concluded.

"Officially wrapped #ThisIsUs season 2. Hope y'all enjoy the last few eps. Already can't wait to get back for season 3," tweeted Milo Ventimiglia, to his 542,000 Twitter followers.

Ventimiglia, who portrays the show's patriarch, Jack Pearson, showcased two photos. One photo was a 20th Century Fox coffee mug near several of the This Is Us cast trailers. Also, two taped lines had the names "Jack" and "Rebecca" on it. The second photo showcased a selfie of Ventimiglia near the Paramount Studios water tower.

In addition to Ventimiglia, the show's director, Ken Olin, also took to the social media platform to thank fans for their support for the show's sophomore season. Mandy Moore, who portrays Rebecca Pearson, retweeted not only Olin's original post but also added several comments.

"Co-sign. Can't believe it's a wrap on season 2. Thanks to all those who have watched and enjoyed this year," wrote Moore.

A Preview Of Things To Come

Moore's tweet of the last few episodes of the show's second season comes after Variety published an interview with This is Us executive producer Isaac Aptaker. He teased the show's characters Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby's (Chris Sullivan) essential trips to Las Vegas, which will lead to the two characters' wedding at the end of the season.

He also stated that the primary focus of the final few episodes of the season would be on the show's trio and how they deal with the death of their father, Jack. For those who are new to the This Is Us phenomenon, the show's big three are Kate, Kevin (Justin Hartley), and Randall (Sterling K. Brown). During the show's post-Super Bowl episode, Jack died in the Pearson family home in a fire started by a slow cooker.

"Jack's death was a defining event for this family, and how Kevin, Kate, and Randall react to it sets them on the course of their lives and sets them on track to be the adults we meet in the pilot," said Aptaker to Variety.

'This Is Us' Victories

As the show returns to NBC on Tuesday, Feb. 27, the show is coming off of several significant successes. On Wednesday, Feb. 21, fashion entrepreneur Kim Kardashian-West asked her fan base if she should watch the NBC drama. Kardashian-West received a surprising tweet from Justin Hartley who recommended that she start at the beginning.

In addition to gaining a possible famous fan, This is Us scored big at the Screen Actor Guild awards. Sterling K. Brown took home Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series. The show also won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
