The iPad Mini 2 is rumored to be released with new specs and have a code name and there is speculation the release date has been delayed, according to SidTech.com.

Major stockists of Apple products including Best Buy that were rumored to be left with no stock in the iPad Mini have replenished their stock, which people speculate, would not happen if the next generation of iPad Mini was going to soon be released.

Although Walmart lowered the retail price of the iPad Mini, Best Buy is still selling the product at the current price Apple lists the product for, which is $329.

The iPad Mini 2 will apparently be released with updates, including a Retina Display screen and Sharp IGZO technology, which would reduce the thickness of the product.

Apple reportedly promised that the battery life will be as long as 10 hours, according to iOS Doc.

The next generation of iPad Mini is expected to have a 7.9inch screen with a 2048 by 1536 pixels resolution.. Displays will be made using AU Optronics and the device could have a dual core A7 processor.

Compared to the model of iPad Mini that is now on the market this means it is 4 times larger and actually it has the same size as the fourth generation iPad which was released last year (at the same time as the iPad Mini).

There is speculation the iPad Mini 2 will be released in October. However, Apple has not yet made an official announcement regarding when the next generation iPad Mini will be available.
