Danielle Bradbery confessed that one of her last performances on the Voice was rather 'awkward.'

The young competitor who was crowned the winner of The Voice Season 4 felt a little out of place singing a love song to her 37-year-old coach Blake Shelton. The pair took the stage together during the last night of voting in order to sing Timber, I'm Falling In Love by by country great Patty Loveless.

"Well, I mean, we're looking at each other and it's a love song," Bradberry told TV Line. "I tried to get in the back of my mind, 'Well, I'll just make it like, OK, hey Dad.' Like a father perspective. Yeah, it was kind of awkward at moments, but I tried to make it not as awkward as possible."

The Texas native said she had to perform a lot of songs that she didn't really connect with due to her young age. Shelton gave her some advice for dealing with song content she had not yet emotionally experienced, something she probably drew on when singing Timber, I'm Falling In Love.

"He said just try to picture it in somebody else's shoes because there are a lot of people out there that probably have that same situation," Bradbery said, according to TV Line. "I can just try to tell the story but not necessarily connect with it as if that happened to me before."

It appears Bradbery will now have to deal with her new-found stardom while still finishing high school.
