Matthew Morrison is engaged. The Glee actor officially popped the question to his girlfriend of two years, model Renee Puente, on Thursday, June 27. 

The couple's happy engagement news was announced during Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball to benefit his AIDS Foundation in London later in the evening, Us Weekly reported. Appropriately, Elton John and frontman Chris Martin broke into song after the announcement, offering up a duet of Your Song, reports E!.

Morrison, 34, has been dating 26-year-old Puente since late 2011.

Morrison confirmed the happy news on Twitter, writing: "An incredible night of LOVE @ejaf Ball. I'm going to marry my best friend! Happy day for me and @Renee_Puente."

After the event, Renee flashed her ring as the two drove off into the night.

"I'm very happy. Renee's not in the industry -- I need that normality," the actor previously told Closer magazine of their relationship. "We like to stay home and cook, we're not that Hollywood."

Earlier in the week, the California native took time to visit the Great Ormond Street Hospital, a leading children's medical center in London.

Reflecting on the experience, Matthew tweeted, "Such an incredible time at Great Ormond St Children's Hospital. Such brave kids!"

Morrison and Puente attended the after party for the Krasner Fund for The BFI on Tuesday, June 25 in London.

Dapper in a grey sit and blue tie, the Glee hunk lent his arm to his lovely lady as they headed to the festivities at the Corinthia Hotel, where they stayed late in to the night.
