The ladies of The Real Housewives of New Jersey began filming the series' upcoming ninth season on Tuesday, March 20, with four of the Season 8 housewives.

According to a new report, Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, and Margaret Josephs are all set to return to Bravo later this year, as is part-time housewife Danielle Staub who returned to the show for Season 8 after initially leaving when Season 2 ended. However, when it comes to Staub's role, it is unclear whether she will remain part-time or be upgraded to a full-time position.

Siggy Flicker Announces Her Departure From 'RHONJ'

Us Weekly shared the news regarding Season 9 with readers on March 20, adding that Season 8 cast member Siggy Flicker announced her exit from the series after just two seasons in December 2017.

"After much reflection and Bravo’s support, I have decided that this will be my last season on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. I am grateful to the network for allowing me to be part of this successful franchise and wish only the best for Teresa, Melissa, Dolores, Danielle and Margaret. At this time, I want to focus on my beautiful family, my growing business and some exciting new projects," Siggy Flicker said in a statement to Bravo's The Daily Dish at the time.

As for a potential replacement for Flicker, the Us Weekly source said that no new housewives have been hired by Bravo quite yet, but they have been testing out a bunch of different potential cast members.

According to Radar Online, among the potential additions are Jennifer Aydin and Jacqueline Goldschneider. As a report from the outlet revealed weeks ago, Aydin is a close friend of former cast member Kathy Wakile, the cousin of Giudice, and Goldschneider is a friend of Jacqueline Laurita, who starred on the show up until Season 8.

Could Caroline Manzo And Jacqueline Laurita Return?

Bravo has also reportedly considered bringing back a couple of former housewives: Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita. As the outlet revealed months ago, an insider claimed producers were thinking of approaching the women about Season 9, but ultimately Manzo said returning to the show would be a "major, major decision.”

Manzo added that she would not embrace the idea quickly and would instead sit on the possibility and consider the pros and cons before moving forward.

The premiere date for The Real Housewives of New Jersey has not yet been set.
