Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber's relationship may not be what many have thought. Is the couple leading separate lives after their 2017 reconciliation?

In recent days, Gomez has been spotted hanging out in Australia with friends (and getting pretty touchy-feely with Johnny Rays) while Bieber remained in Los Angeles and was caught spending time with model Baskin Champion.

When Gomez and Bieber got back together in October of last year, Jelena fans were thrilled with the reunion and hoped they could make their romance stick once and for all. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that is possible, and a new report claims the singers are now "living totally separate lives."

On March 22, E! News shared a report with readers in which they revealed that Bieber sparked rumors of moving on from his months-long relationship with Gomez when he was spotted with Champion in his Lamborghini on the morning after their night out. That said, there isn't anything serious going on between the two — at least not yet.

"To say they are dating would be a huge stretch," an insider explained.

Justin Bieber Is 'Devastated' By His Split From Selena Gomez?

Although Gomez and Bieber have stayed mum on the current status of their relationship, a Radar Online report on March 23 suggested that the couple parted ways last month and noted that Bieber has been devastated by their latest breakup and hoped he could convince Gomez to commit. That said, he didn't waste much time when it came to moving forward and hanging out with his rumored fling, and Radar's insider claims Gomez couldn't care less.

“Selena is telling her friends that she doesn’t give a f**k what Justin is up to and the fact that he is seeing other women is the exact reason why she ended this last time,” the insider explained.

The source then said that Gomez's friends believe that the singer intended to break up with Bieber all along in an effort to get revenge for the hurt he's caused in the past. As fans of the on-again, off-again couple have likely heard, Gomez went public with claims suggesting Bieber had cheated on her numerous times during their romance on Instagram.

In response to Gomez's allegations against him, Bieber suggested Gomez had cheated on him with Zayn Malik before temporarily deleting his account.
