Ed Sheeran won't grace the TODAY show stage in New York until Friday morning, but his fans have already started lining up to get a front row spot to his free show.

Fans began lining up on Wednesday and by Thursday morning, hundred of fans had formed a line outside of Rockefeller Plaza. Thousands of fans are expect to pack the TODAY show plaza.

His loyal fans waited in the summer heat -- and a few short rain storms -- to see The A Team singer.

"Fans are already in line for @EdSheeran concert! pic.twitter.com/Ioif306gdE #EdSheeranTODAY," a tweet from the TODAY show twitter said.

The girls are all smiling in the photo, camped out in their sleeping bags. A few fans always showed off their posters.

Sheeran is performing a TODAY summer concert on the plaza on July 12.

Information on the show's website told fans to "make sure to rock the color orange in support of your favorite red-haired singer, who will be singing his hits live on TODAY."

Lats month, Us Weekly reported that Selena Gomez began hooking up with Sheeran after being introduced over Memorial Day Weekend by Taylor Swift.

Despite the fact that the singer-songwriter told Us Weekly he "wouldn't complain" about being set up with the former Disney star, the gossip is false. Sheeran's camp says there is "no truth" to the dating rumors, according to Metro U.K.

Tune into Sheeran's performance on Friday, July 12 at 8 a.m. ET on NBC.
