A photo surfaced online this week that shows actor Liam Hemsworth shooting a scene for his upcoming movie Cut Bank, which is currently filming in Edmonton, Canada.

The 2014 thriller, directed by Matt Shakman, also stars Teresa Palmer, John Malkovich and Billy Bob Thornton. The respective image that leaked online shows Hemsworth, 23, and Palmer, 27, in a field as potential storm clouds hover over them. Both actors look away from the camera and into the distance, as if spotting someone approaching.

The film has no announced release date.

Hemsworth portrays an athlete turned auto mechanic named Dwayne McLaren, who has dreamed of getting out his small town, Cut Bank, Mont., ever since he graduated high school several years earlier, according to IMDb. When he finds himself in the wrong place at the right time, he takes the opportunity given to pursue a different life in a bigger city with his girlfriend Cassandra (Palmer). However, his perceived good fortune only gets him in trouble. Dwayne then gets connected to a police investigation headed by Sheriff Vogel (Malkovich), who is the closest thing the 25-year-old has to a father figure. Thornton plays Cassandra's father, Big Stan Steeley.

When news of the movie was announced in 2012, Cut Bank Area Chamber of Commerce's Executive Director Amy Overstreet and Mayor Doug Embody of the City of Cut Bank invited the cast and crew to film in Cut Bank as well as premiere the movie there, according to a local area publication.

The Hunger Games star replaced Armie Hammer in the lead. Hemsworth will make his first Comic-Con appearance at the 2013 convention held in San Diego starting July 18. He starred in The Expendables 2 and the film had a Comic-Con panel in 2012, but the actor was not part of the panel.
