Since dropping her senior royal duties, Meghan Markle has signed numerous deals with platforms such as Spotify, Netflix, Random House Children's Books, and many more. Recently, one report suggests that the Duchess might star in her talk show, and two of the renowned hosts in the industry are not having any of it; could this be true?

According to a report published by New Idea, the former "Suits" star's recent TV guesting doesn't appear to be what it seems as she's said to have an intention why she went on to chat with Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres.

Although her sit-down interviews with the two hosting icons appeared to be intimate, the magazine claims she intends to feel the talk show environment as she's planning to produce one.

An insider revealed the Duchess of Sussex was "testing the waters for herself by going on Oprah and Ellen."

Aside from chatting with guests, Markle's show would be a perfect platform for her "own agendas and causes." The Duchess also wanted to return to television as she was a former actress, but this time, it would be her "name in the lights."

Despite her plans, she still needs to overcome hurdles, like the backlash she would receive by using her royal title.

In addition, DeGeneres and Winfrey could also get in the way, as they are reportedly disappointed that Markle "used them to get her show."

Between the two hosts, the source said DeGeneres could be forgiving and wouldn't mind with the royal starring in her talk show, but Winfrey is not happy with the idea.

The insider mentioned that if ever the show comes to fruition, Markle could go head to head against Winfrey as a rival.

"Oprah would certainly feel used if that happens. I can't imagine she'd let it stand for long."

Will There be a Meghan Markle Show in the Future?

After the magazine published the report, Suggest debunked the story by pointing out some inconsistencies with their claims.

The outlet mentioned that it's true there have been rumors about Markle having her talk show and is eyeing to get a hosting gig, but the Duchess of Sussex has never confirmed any of these.

The rumors circulating are confined to mostly gossip blogs, and the public still doesn't have a concrete answer whether Markle would push the idea or not.

Furthermore, the outlet also noted that should her reported plans come true, it's not a way of betraying DeGeneres and Winfrey, as the former's show is coming to an end soon, and the latter has restricted herself sit-down with A-list celebrities only.
