It's only been a year since the LA Times published their scalding expose on the process behind voting at the Golden Globes (which only had 87 members, none of whom were Black), but they seem to be making progress when it comes to diversity in their voting room, and it showed at this year's awards.

Last night, actress MJ Rodriguez became the first trans woman ever to win a Golden Globe Award - and also became one of only a couple dozen Black actors to ever win one, too.

Shortly after winning the award, Rodriguez took to Instagram to celebrate:

She won Best Actress in a TV Drama for her lead role as Blanca Evangelista on the FX series Pose, beating out Uzo Aduba of In Treatment, Jennifer Aniston of The Morning Show, Christine Branski of The Good Fight, and Elizabeth Moss of The Handmaid's Tale.

She took a moment to specifically honor her fellow nominees in her post:

"To the nominees we are Queens. I'm so happy to share space with you! Each and every last one of you women are phenomenal."
