Earlier today, 20th Century Studios revealed the cast of their new Stephen King film adaptation, "The Boogeyman." "Dune" and "The Suicide Squad"'s David Dastmalchian,  "Y: The Last Man" and "The Umbrella Academy" star Marin Ireland, "Bird Box"'s Vivien Lyra Blair, and "Voyagers" star Madison Hu have joined the cast alongside Chris Messina and Sophie Thatcher. The film is based off a 1973 short story by the acclaimed horror writer.

Directed by Rob Savage, "The Boogeyman" is about a pair of siblings grieving the passing of their mother as they're hunted by a supernatural boogeyman following their psychologist father encounters a desperate patient in their home.

According to Deadline, the horror-thriller film is set to debut in 2023, releasing on Hulu in the U.S., on Star+ in Latin America, and on Disney+ in all other territories.
