Johnny Depp's career started because of Nicholas Cage's warm and helping heart.

No one ever thought that Cage - one of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood - would face financial issues and credit troubles. In 2009, he had major spending issues while dealing with his financial adviser. As a result, he had to face foreclosure on his properties after the IRS gave him a $6.2 million tax lien.

During that tough time, Depp came to the rescue - and it seems like the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor only returned Cage's past favor.

Before Depp conquered Hollywood, Cage was already an established and renowned actor in the field. The "National Treasure" actor told New York Times Magazine (via Grunge) that Depp used to be a tenant in the apartment he owned in the early 1980s. They became close friends at that time and even played Monopoly together during their free time.

A few months later, he urged Depp to try acting when the actor was struggling while selling pens or something to survive. Initially, the "Edward Scissorhands" did not approve the idea since he could not act - but he did not know about his skills after meeting with his agent and attending his first audition.

"Overnight sensations don't happen. But it happened with him," Cage said, recalling the time Depp scored the lead role in "Nightmare of Elm Street."

That small incident pushed Depp to follow Cage's footsteps and become one of the in-demand actors in the industry.

Unfortunately, Depp started losing everything again as he was cut from the "Fantastic Beasts" and "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchises after his libel case against The Sun.

Most recently, Depp's fans were left broken and shocked after Warner Bros. shared the trailer for "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore." The three-minute clip showed the untold backstory of Dumbledore before showing familiar "Harry Potter" locations, including the Room of Requirement.

It also featured Depp's replacement, Mads Mikkelsen, as the new cast member plays the role of Gellert Grindelwald.

While he suffers after losing his titular roles, his ex-wife Amber Heard scored a major role in "In The Fire." Variety confirmed that the "Aquaman" star would appear in the supernatural thriller film. This caused the fans to relaunch massive attacks until Depp gets back what he had before.
