It was announced last month that The Wendy Williams Show, which has been on the air for nearly 14 years, will be ending after this season, due to the illness of the titular host.

Williams has been unable to host the show for some time now due to complications from a chronic illness called Graves' Disease, which causes your immune system to attack your thyroid gland, which can cause issues with everything from mood to digestion to memory, and far more.

The show is currently finishing out its final season with a series of guest hosts, including Sherri Shepherd, who was determined their most popular and thus given her own show to fill the timeslot for next season: Sherri will replace The Wendy Williams Show in the fall.

That's why it's a little confusing to learn that Wendy Williams has declared that she's "going to be back on the Wendy Show bigger and brighter than ever."

The famous host made the declaration on Good Morning America Thursday.

"I'm very comfortable. My partners with the show...everybody's ready."

Evidently, the producers really do not want to say goodbye to Wendy: She says they told her - and official sources confirm - that they would be ready and willing to pick up her show again as soon as she is ready, willing, and able.

So when will that be exactly? Williams seems to think soon, soon enough that Sherri would never even have time to premiere:

"Give me about three months. There are private things that I have to deal with and then I'll be ready to come back and be free and ready to do my thing."

It is unclear whether Sherri would still get her own show if Williams were to return, or whether she might perhaps come on as a co-host in case Williams has another issue with her health.

Williams has also been struggling with her bank, Wells Fargo, to have access to her own money: She is currently suing the bank, who are insisting that she have her finances managed by a conservatorship, believing that she is the victim of undue influence when it comes to how she spends her money.

You can hear more about that in the clip below.
