On the first day of production for her new movie, "In The Fire," Amber Heard was caught fighting with a priest. It's apparent that her new role entails her to bring out the big guns. As a psychotherapist in the spooky thriller, it appears her messy court battle with Johnny Depp has amply prepared her for this role.

A $50M defamation lawsuit filed by the actor against Heard has the ex-lovers geared up for a showdown, very soon.

The trial is set to begin on April 11 in Virginia.

In the first photographs of Heard in costume on the set of her upcoming movie, she appeared unfazed by her legal troubles and ready to get to work.

The actress was sporting a vintage pink blouse with puffed sleeves and high collar. The 35-year-old actress almost looked unrecognizable, since she's not known to wear such outfits.

The blonde beauty's costume for the film is a far cry from her appearances in "Aquaman."

Because the actress had her hair in a bun and had scarcely applied makeup, she looked nothing like her usually-coiffed self. In addition, her stylist kept the jewelry on her as simple as possible for the period piece. With her modest earrings and silver band, Heard completed the look of someone who would not take any sort of nonsense.

In one shot, she looks as if she's greeting the town's residents and the local priest, she appears to be clutching a Bible. It appears that things have gone from bad to worse in another image when she is seen yelling at the priest.

Heard is now in Guatemala filming a new project. That's a long way from Virginia, but she's not the only one who'll be making the trip for the trial.

A-list celebrities, including James Franco and Heard's ex-boyfriend Elon Musk, are expected to testify, according to Radar. His "Aquaman" co-star Jason Momoa's emails have also been included as proof.

Heard cited Franco and Musk as two of his eyewitnesses.

The legal battles between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have been ongoing for several years. It all started with an an opinion piece she published for The Washington Post exposing her history of domestic abuse. Despite not naming names, Depp has sued her for $50 million. Naturally, what followed were messy back-and-forths between the two and their legal camps.

As part of the investigation into their short-lived marriage, there has been talk of a violent incident between the couple.

Depp has maintained his innocence throughout but still lost his career as a result.

This is precisely why Depp is said to be suing. Depp accuses her of being the reason he was dismissed from his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean" sequel. Depp claims he was cancelled from the entertainment industry because of his alleged involvement in domestic violence with Amber Heard and it's unfair if he's innocent.
