Well, we've been waiting, waiting, waiting for Chris Rock to say something after Sunday night.

In case you somehow missed this, Chris Rock told an alopecia-and-G.I.-Jane joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith at the Oscars ceremony on Sunday, and in response, the not-quite-yet-Academy-Award-Winner Will Smith marched up onstage and slapped him clear across the face.

Everybody has had their own feelings about the incident, with celebrities from Wanda Sykes to Zoe Kravitz to Jim Carrey speaking up. Will Smith has even come out with a statement of apology, and Jada posted on Instagram not-so-subtly asking everyone to move on. The only input we were waiting on was the input that probably matters most: That off the slapee, Chris Rock.

Well, we got that last night - sort of - when he came out for his regularly scheduled comedy show in Boston.

Rock entered to a standing ovation - one so overwhelming that he had to tell the crowd, "Whoa, okay! Yo, let me do the show!"

When the applause finally did die down, here's what Chris Rock had to say; his first words since the Slap Heard Round The World.

One audience member said that Rock got emotional at the standing ovation, but he was still able to deliver the first smooth line: "How was your weekend?"

The audience laughed for an extended period before he spoke again.

"I don't have a bunch of s*** about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I'm still kind of processing what happened...So, at some point, I'll talk about that s***. And it will be serious and funny."

So it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to see what Chris Rock really thinks about The Slap. (And it seems like maybe he does too.) One thing is for sure: Everyone will be listening when he figures it out.
