A sneak peak of the rehearsal room for the New York City Center Encores! production of Into the Woods has been released, and it promises theatre magic in a way only Stephen Sondheim can write.

Into the Woods is one of the modern classic shows written by the recently-late musical genius Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim passed away on November 26th, 2021. Producitions of his phenomenal works have been popping up across the world, from countless productions of A Little Night Music to the continuing Broadway run of Company.

One of the most highly anticipated Sondheim revivals is the limited run of Into the Woods coming to New York City Center. Playbill has shared some rehearsal footage from the incredible production, and it is certainly worth the hype.

The cast of the musical fairytale mash-up is more than we ever could have wished for (which IS a deep-cut Into the Woods joke for the true fans). The show will feature  Neil Patrick Harris, Sara Bareilles, Julia Lester, Gavin Creel, Heather Headley, Denée Benton,and several others. With this stacked cast, fueled by the talent we are seeing in this sneak peek, everyone is going to begging to, "GO TO THE WOODS!"

Into the Woods will run from May 4th until May 15th at New York City Center.
