Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been married for years, but the public only knows a thing or two behind their love story. Today, the Australian singer candidly opens up about his life priorities shifter ever since he tied the knot with his wife and had children.

Speaking to The Sun, the former "The Voice" coach revealed many things about his personal life, especially within his family.

During his early days in the industry, Urban had troubles with his addiction, leading him to enter rehabilitation facilities many times.

His life changed when he married Kidman, which he considers a significant turning point.

"I guess I used to do a thing where I'd work out the ramifications of whatever I did and then decide whether it was worth it - and most of the time I decided it was going to be despite the problems it would cause," he said. (via People Magazine)

Urban noted that he knows his decisions will cause an issue, but it will be "bloody fun."

Since he is a father of two children today, the musician said his life is different as he wanted to be an excellent example for his kids but is unsure if he's doing it correctly.

Throughout his life, the country star admitted he made so many mistakes, but people has to work out what works for them.

"My message to them is always to do whatever they are passionate about, I don't care, as long as they work hard to achieve it," he added.

Relating himself to his advice, Urban said he experienced the same thing as he and Kidman worked really hard to get to the top.

He started by playing at different clubs in Australia to get the attention of record labels, them moved to the United States to start all over again.

Lucky for him, things worked out "a second time."

This was not the first time Urban opened up about his addiction, as he told The Times that his father was an alcoholic.

Little did he know, he was also undergoing the same thing, and it took him a long time to accept it.

He rarely talks about the issue because he loves his audience to watch his shows and have a great time.

"I've nothing against drugs or alcohol. Everyone does what they want to do to have a great time," he said.
