Aliana Mawla is setting the record straight after Liam Payne and Maya Henry called off their engagement for the second time. The model also expressed her disappointment with the rumors circulating that she was involved in the split.

According to a representative who spoke to E! Online, the model is "taken very taken back by the accusations" regarding Payne and his relationship with his ex.

The rep clarified that Mawla didn't involve herself in a "public relationship as such if there was any truth to the comments that have been made."

"She is very protective of her personal life and has nothing more to say at the moment other than she is very happy and does not wish to discuss this situation moving forward," the statement concluded.

The model's statement comes a few days after the former One Direction singer's camp confirmed the breakup to the outlet.

Their split was made public after Henry took online to react to photos that showed the singer having an intimate time with another woman.

A fan page reposted the photo on Instagram, which tagged Henry.

The socialite commented on the post, clarifying that she loves her fans so much but wanted them to stop sending her pictures of Payne with another woman.

"This is not me and it's hard enough knowing this has happened without seeing it. Enough now," she explained.

The following day, Payne and Mawla were photographed in London, walking arm-in-arm.

The ex-couple started dating in 2019. They got engaged the following year. However, Payne announced in 2021 that they ended their relationship but later got back together.

Regarding Henry's reaction to the latest breakup, a source spoke to the outlet, saying she was "blindsided" and "very upset" by the split as Payne ended their relationship abruptly.
