"Law & Order: Organized Crime" set witnessed the death of a crew member before the scheduled filming.

On Tuesday, Johnny Pizarro was shot and killed around 5:15 a.m. on that day before the filming started. The authorities are currently investigating, and their initial findings included a statement from a crew member who seemingly saw the suspect.

According to Deadline, a crew member spotted a man "with something under his shirt" who ran away from the scene. The 31-year-old victim - a parking-enforcement worker - was sitting inside a vehicle that had an orange parking cone on its roof at the time of the incident.

It happened near the soundstages of Broadway stages in Brooklyn.

The news outlet added that no security personnel or NYPD officers from the Movie and TV Unit were present on the scene.

But currently, a probe is looking into whether the shooting incident was premeditated.

A law enforcement source said, "It is unclear right now if this was an established set or not, or whether the victim was close to where filming was supposed to occur."

It was noted that the NYPD was at the scene of the shooting soon after it happened following a 911 call. Pizarro was still rushed to a nearby hospital.

Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at 6:00 a.m.

Police currently assures that its investigation is ongoing with the help of the Brooklyn North Homicide unit and the 94th Precinct detective squad.
