Dorfman explained to Bilson that if she didn't land the role in the series she would've started transitioning highlighting that her role delayed some of her growth and maturation in her mid-20s.

"For me, I feel like I kind of got stuck in time for a minute," explaining her late transition.

She also shared that she struggled at first in transitioning a she felt like she had safe friendships with women in her life and she thought that if Dorfman revealed to her female friends that she is now attracted to women they might feel unsafe.

Dorman added that she didn't want to ruin the "safe zone" feelings of her female friends in her presence.

The actress had privately transitioned a year before her 2021 in which she labeled the announcement as a "reintroduction to me as a woman."

With all these, everyone is happy that she finally found her "the one." Next milestone? Wedding.
