For Tom Brady, playing in the league is his life. But for his wife Gisele Bundchen, it is a very violent sport to return to.

After the speculations regarding the root cause of Brady and Bundchen's marriage troubles, the model addressed her husband's return to the NFL after she took a break from her runway career.

The 42-year-old matriarch graced the cover of ELLE's October issue and opened up about Brady's unretirement and return to the NFL. According to Bundchen, she gave up her career to focus on her family first.

She said that she wants Brady to be more present in the family before expressing her concerns due to the "violent sport."

"I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too," she said.

The model herself chose to step back from her career to shape her children. With that, she feels fulfilled as a mother and a wife.

Meanwhile, Brady himself revealed that he has not celebrated Christmas and Thanksgiving in the past 23 years.

Though she spoke about Brady's NFL return, the model did not directly address the current rift between them.

Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady's Marriage Struggles

Bundchen's comment was the first official statement they made since the rumors about their shaky marriage emerged.

It started when Brady decided to come back to the league after announcing his retirement. According to PEOPLE, it caused a lot of tension between the married couple.

Things even got worse to the point that he took a break from practicing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers due to "personal things."

Meanwhile, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport shared an article claiming that the athlete might finally head "into what is expected to be his final season in the NFL." Although Brady himself has not confirmed it, he revealed in a news conference that he does not know what comes next.

However, he urged everyone to take advantage of every opportunity that comes on their way, signaling his uncertain future in sports.

While focusing on his career, Bundchen reportedly traveled to Miami instead of staying in their Tampa Bay home where he has been staying.

It remains unknown whether they already made up or talked about it.
