Kate Middleton's fans and critics reacted to Omid Scobie's remarks about the Princess of Wales in his new book.

Scobie is dropping his new book "Endgame: Inside the Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival" on Tuesday. He made several remarks about the members of the royal family, including the Duchess of Cornwall, in his new publication. Per Victoria Ward, The Telegraph's deputy royal editor, Scobie portrayed Middleton as "a woman terrified to do anything more than grinning photo ops."

Scobie also pointed out how the media allegedly treated Middleton and her sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, differently. The "Finding Freedom" author told The Sunday Times how the future queen consort reportedly received too much credit for the little things she does.

"In the coverage of Kate, we infantilize her massively, so the bar is always lower. The small achievements that we've seen from the Princess of Wales wouldn't perhaps be noticed if it was from another member of the royal family, but with Kate, it's like 'wow!'" he said.

Scobie's remarks about Middleton received mixed responses from the netizens, with several agreeing with what he said.

"And? Where's the lie? Kate got praised for pouring cereal once," one commented. Another added, "He is not lying, the girl can barely speak."

"Lol, but it's all true. We can see it for ourselves. Omid just putting into words what everyone already knows. A documentary even compared the North Korean first lady's muteness to Kate Middleton's, except even Ri Sol-ju knows to not flash her underwear in public," a third person opined.

"He's not lying! She just dresses in expensive clothes [and] shows up to charities to smile & wave!" a fourth person wrote.

However, Middleton's supporters were also quick to defend her. Some even praised the Princess of Wales, who prioritized her kids over royal duties. Prince William explained earlier this month that Middleton couldn't join him during his visit to Singapore for the Earthsht Prize awards ceremony because she helped their eldest son with his first set of major exams, People reported.

"Well, Catherine does not leave her kids for weeks unnecessarily, she did not go to Singapore with William because her son had exams, can u imagine Markle doing that?" one commented. Another wrote, "No way! Meghan would not let Harry have the spotlight alone!"

"How the heck can Princess Catherine be lazy, she works constantly. I'd be exhausted," another opined, defending Middleton.

"Scabies is a [clown face emoji] -- ok, William has a temper -- big deal. Catherine is far from lazy. Didn't the spare and this one's wife work an [hour] a week for their charity? Didn't it take them 2 yrs, [a] team of 25 to do a stupid podcast and get sacked because they are lazy? They are lazy grifters," a different user added.

"Neither Omid nor Megan know the Prince and Princess well enough to make such comments. So they're either feeding off each other's bitterness, or they are defaming them for no good reason. Whatever the reason, such cruelty will be punished. Both will have to atone for their sins," another stated.

"Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival" hits shelves on Nov. 28.
