Nicki Minaj has once again proven her dominance in the music industry as her latest album, "Pink Friday 2," debuts at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart this week.

This achievement marked Minaj's third album to reach No. 1 on the chart and established her as the female rapper with the most No. 1 albums, according to Billboard.

The rapper previously claimed the top spot with "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" in 2012 and her debut studio album "Pink Friday" in 2011.

"Pink Friday 2" stormed the charts, earning 228,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. for the week ending Dec. 14, Billboard reported, citing Luminate.

Notably, this marked the largest week for a rap album by a woman in the 2020s decade and the biggest for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman this year, according to the magazine.

The album's success extended to vinyl sales, with 25,000 copies sold, marking the largest week for a rap album by a woman since Luminate began electronically tracking sales in 1991.

Minaj's latest release was preceded by three charting songs on the Billboard Hot 100: "Super Freaky Girl" (No. 1 in 2022), "Red Ruby Da Sleeze" (No. 13 this year), and "Last Time I Saw You" (No. 23 this year).

In total, "Pink Friday 2" secured Minaj's seventh top 10 album on the Billboard 200, adding to her impressive charting history that includes "The Pinkprint," "Queen," "Beam Me Up Scotty" and the best-of compilation "Queen Radio: Volume 1."

This accomplishment also placed Minaj ahead in the record books, breaking a tie with Foxy Brown for the most No. 1 albums among female rap artists.

Additionally, Minaj became the first female rapper with No. 1 albums in two different decades, achieving her first two leaders in the 2010s and the third in the 2020s.

The success of "Pink Friday 2" was further highlighted by its streaming performance, garnering Minaj's largest streaming week ever, the biggest streaming week for a rap album by a woman in the 2020s decade and the largest streaming week for any R&B/hip-hop album by a woman this year.

Minaj's album sales were also robust, with 92,000 copies sold, making it the biggest sales week for any rap album by a woman in the 2020s decade and the largest sales week for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman this year.

As Minaj celebrates her record-breaking success on the Billboard charts, she has also announced the complete lineup for her 2024 "Pink Friday 2" world tour.

The rapper is set to headline arena shows in North America and Europe, including appearances at Rolling Loud California and Dreamville Festival.
