BTS member Jimin and Filipino boy group SB19 proved their sky-high popularity after being listed as two of the most-listened-to artists on Emirates flights in 2023.

Emirates, one of the two flag carriers of the United Arab Emirates, recently revealed the most-watched and most-listened-to content by Emirates customers on journeys to and from 140 destinations across the globe.

Last Wednesday, the airline posted a blog titled "That's a wrap for ice 2023! Emirates reveals 'most watched and listened to' content in the sky."

From a "library of over 3,000 albums, 500 curated playlists, 40,000 tracks and 4,000 hours of music and podcasts," BTS' Jimin and P-Pop group SB19 made it to the list of Emirates customers' favorite artists alongside Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Arijit Singh, ABBA, Fairuz and Burna Boy.

Aside from songs by the above artists, Emirates passengers also listened to Cocomelon, Bluey, Kidzbop and the "Encanto" soundtrack, as well as the Best of Fairuz and Khaleeji Classics in-flight.

Jimin from BTS made his solo debut with his album "FACE" last March, featuring songs in various genres such as pop, hip-hop and R&B.

His solo debut album contained six tracks: "Face-off," "Interlude: Dive," "Like Crazy," "Alone," "Set Me Free Pt. 2" and "Like Crazy" (English Version).

In May, just two months after making his solo debut, Jimin was recognized by Guinness World Records as the fastest solo K-Pop artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify (male) in just 393 days.

Per Guinness, Jimin's "FACE" album was "the catalyst for his surge in popularity" with support from his previous singles and song collaborations with other artists.

Meanwhile, the five-member boy group SB19, consisting of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin, recently achieved global popularity after releasing its hit song "Gento."

"Gento," the main track of SB19's "PAGTATAG!" EP is a pop, hip-hop track that talks about empowerment and achieving success. It was written by SB19's leader and 1Z Entertainment CEO Pablo and co-produced by Joshua Daniel Nase and Simon Servida.

Since the song's release in May, "Gento" has gained overwhelming success worldwide, with different celebrities and personalities dancing to it on TikTok.
