Rapper Kendrick Lamar is making headlines on Tuesday after he threw major shots at other hip hop rappers on Big Sean's latest song, Control, featuring Jay Electronica.

Big Sean took to Twitter to release the seven-minute track on Aug. 12, which soon got the social media site buzzing about Lamar's verse, in particular.

On the song, Lamar, 26, says he rules New York, and it seems like he's trying to crown himself as the best rapper alive.

"I'm Machiavelli's offspring, I'm the king of New York/King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both," he raps.

Lamar even calls out some of his friends on the track.

"I'm usually homeboys with the same n----s i'm rhymin with / But this is hip hop and them n----s should know what time it is / And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T., Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake Big Sean, Jay Electron', Tyler, Mac Miller / I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you n----s / Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n----s," he says.

Pusha T took to Twitter to respond to Lamar, saying "I hear u loud and clear my n***a... @kendricklamar."

Brooklyn rapper Fabolous also tweeted in response to the song on Tuesday morning, "Any studios open yet?"

Big Sean's new album, Hall of Fame, hits stores on Aug. 27, but Control didn't make the cut. The 25-year-old rapper explained to his fans why this song wasn't on the 15-song album.

"Since my new album #HallOfFame is avail for preorder in a couple hours Can I drop something that didn't make the album?! straight rap sh**... This one that didn't make the album cuz of the sample BUT IT IS NOT no radio sh-.. Straight rap... I'm talking 7min sh** ... Grimey sh**," he tweeted on Monday.
