Keke Palmer Joins Music Group ‘DivaGurl’ And Teases New Music: ‘Prepare To Be Slayed’
Keke Palmer embodied the definition of "move in silence" when she shocked fans with the recent announcement of her new music girl group, DivaGurl.
The 30-year-old revealed the venture via Instagram, as the group is set to drop their first single later on this month, single-handedly bringing back the girl group era of prior decades.
"Pre-Save our 1st single #SOB today! Prepare to be slayed on June 21st #DivaGurl," the former Nickelodeon star penned in the caption. Despite the overwhelming excitement amongst most, others were a little slower to ride the wave.

"It's me coming to the comments for answers but we all got the same question lol," an inquiring fan replied. "How many chapters did I miss?!?!??!" another fan asked, flabbergasted.
"Um...I'm sat. I'm confused. But, I'm seated [crying emoji]," a third fan confessed, seemingly perplexed.
"Oh nothing, just our MILLENNIAL DIVA giving us some girl group realness!!! We can't wait to hear the new music. We love you Keke <3," a fourth enthusiastic fan responded.
'Variety' reported that Palmer and her Big Bosses Entertainment label partnered with SRG-ILS Group, which is distributed by Universal Music's Virgin Music Group.
Per the media outlet, Palmer founded Big Bosses with her mother, Sharon Palmer, and years long music manager, Billy Clark, back in 2017. She's released three mixtapes since her first studio album, 'So Uncool,' in 2007.
The award-winning musician, actress, and television host recently performed at OUTLOUD Music Festival at WeHo Pride 2024 in West Hollywood, California, alongside a dozen back up dancers.
The group's newest post was added to Instagram on Thursday with the caption: "DivaGirls or Nasty Gurlsss?" — presumably a response to the dozens of comments asking if there was "still time" to change the name of the group.
