With a rumored release in 2015, a Pitch Perfect sequel is still a long way off, but news of a holiday album due out this December might help pacify those withdrawal symptoms for fans.

The cast of Pitch Perfect will be recording - in what could be an 'all-a capella' - album for Christmas, a rep from Universal movie studios confirmed to MTV.

On Sunday, the popular musical earned four surfboards at the MTV Teen Choice Awards for best comedy film, actress in a comedic role (Rebel Wilson), actor in a comedic role (Skylar Astin), and villain (Adam DeVine).

After the awards show, actress Hana Mae Lee, who portrayed the reticent Lilly in the film, spoke to MTV about the upcoming album

"I'm going to be singing a very special song," she said, adding that the album will feature Christmas classics and that she will be singing Silent Night.

She suggested that it would all be done in a cappella. "You know, for our 'Pitch Perfect' soundtrack, it's all a cappella - even the percussion. It's all us, so it's going to be sweet though because it's going to sound like there's other things, but it's all us," she said.

At the awards, Astin rooted for the sequel to go international, speaking about his wish to shoot the sequel at "a really cool location" and try to "see different countries' perspective on a cappella."

On Tuesday, Anna Kendrick instagrammed her reaction ("#defieslogic") to having her single, Cups (Pitch Perfect's When I'm Gone), figure on the Billboard Top Ten for the past five weeks. The song currently stands at no. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
