Fans of Basketball Wives should expect to see a less dramatic Evelyn Lozada during the upcoming season of VH1's show.

Lozada told Access Hollywood she now lives a less dramatic life and simple lifestyle than she did in previous season of BBW. She confessed that because she had a lot going on in her personal life, she let out her frustrations on her castmates. She said viewers will no longer see her throwing any champagne bottles like she did during season 4.

"It's no excuse but no, you will never see that [again,]" Lozada told Access Hollywood. "I'm such a homebody. I don't go anywhere I'm not out partying, I'm not out drinking. I spend time with my daughter, I go to work and do the things that I need to do. That's it."

Access Hollywood played a clip where she talks to her daughter about her infamous 2012 domestic violence assault, which she experienced during her brief marriage to Chad Johnson.

"That conversation was with my daughter, she went through it with me," she explained of the footage. "It's still difficult even a year ago having to watch it all over again. That was [filmed] literally after everything happened."

The show's hosts asked Lozada if she would have stayed in her marriage, if the public had not known about the incident with Johnson.

"It's sad to say but yes," Lozada confessed. "I'll admit it. If there were no physical scars, I would have probably went right back in the house and brushed it under the rug because I wouldn't want the world to know and I would have tried to move on with my life."

"I consider it such a huge blessing [that the incident went public]," she shared. "It was a very tramautic time for me."

Lozada revealed that since the August 2012 incident, she decided to use her celebrity to raise money and awareness to a non-profit she started for other survivors.

VH1 will premiere season 5 of Basketball Wives on Monday, Aug. 19.

Lozada's cast mate, Tami Roman-- who is also known for her fiery temper--revealed she will also be less dramatic during the upcoming season. In an exclusive VH1 interview, Roman said she "dialed back the drama" when she filmed season 5.

The teaser below, however, suggests Lozada temper has not completely gone away. In the preview video, her friend, Suzie Ketchum, is seen telling new cast member Tasha Marbury that the Latin beauty does not need a boyfriend. Marbury joked that maybe Lozada should "wear a helmet" on a future date. Lozada is then seen visibly upset as she asks Ketchum about Marbury's remark.

"And you thought that was funny?" Lozada asks Ketchum with a serious demeanor.
