Brooklyn's Barclays center, which is the venue for the MTV VMAs this year, announced Thursday via Twitter that Lady Gaga and Katy Perry will be seated next to each other at the show on Sunday.

"@ladygaga and @katyperry with prime time front row seating at the #VMAs" the Center tweeted with a picture of the seating placement:

Both artists are slated to perform at the VMAs, with Gaga opening and Pery closing the event. Other VMA performers this year include Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.

Perry and Gaga are arch rivals on the charts with their brand new singles Roar and Applause respectively, but industry sources predict that Perry's single will triumph over Gaga's. Fans eagerly await to see the ultimate face-off at the VMAs, when they give their respective performances. Seems like the Barclays Center is beefing up the mania by seating them together.
