Christina Aguilera is Maxim magazine's October 2013 cover girl, and the singer is full of sex appeal. 

"I'm such a down-to-earth girl. I'm comfortable in just a jersey and boy's underwear," she told the magazine. "Trying too hard to be sexy is the worst thing you can do. Sexiness should be effortless."

The star's sexiness is clearly flaunted in the issue. On the cover, the blonde-haired singer shows off her bust wearing a black bra slightly covered by a white shirt. Inside the magazine, photos capture her sporting a skin tight red dress and lingerie.

During her interview, the 32-year-old singer also discussed what she looks for in a significant other.

"I love genuine guys; that's why I pretty much stay away from celebrities," she said. "I don't care about money, because, trust me, I can support myself."

She also spoke about what she dislikes in the opposite sex.

"The quickest way for me to feel weird and run for the hills is if somebody sits down and serenades me with a guitar. It's not my thing," she said.

Following her split with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman in 2010, Aguilera began dating Matthew Rutler, a set assistant from her film Burlesque. The two are still together, but the star has made it clear that her son is her number one priority. He's also the reason she took a hiatus from The Voice during season 4.

"I'm a mom, [so] when the cameras go off, I put on sweats and a t-shirt," she told reporters during the NBC sessions at the Television Critics Association Summer Tour in July. "I needed some time to do that. He starts kindergarten this fall, so I'm excited about that."

Aguilera will return to her judging seat when the new season of The Voice premieres on Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
