Liam Hemsworth is sick of Miley Cyrus' raunchy new image and planning to break up with the singer, according to new reports.

According to a source close to the actor, the pair is "just weeks away from calling it off permanently."

"He is over her and wants to make a clean break," the source told Us Weekly. "No more back and forth."

Hemsworth has reportedly decided to end the romance after Cyrus' 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance, where she rubbed up against Robin Thicke and made crude gestures with a giant foam finger. He thought it was "mortifying," the source revealed.

According to Radar Online, the on-stage number was embarrassing for the young actor, whose career is taking off in the U.S., and his friends are worried that Cyrus' actions will have a negative effect on his career.

"Liam really does care about Miley, but her racy new look and sort of ghetto attitude isn't exactly what he signed up for," one unnamed friend told the website. "'His entire team is urging him to part ways with her because she's nothing but negative for his reputation and career. Liam is a serious actor with a growing career, while Miley has just turned into a joke. "

As EnStars previously reported, sources allegedly saw Cyrus cheating on Hemsworth at NYC's 1Oak after the award show. An unnamed source claims Cyrus "made out with a guy friend" at the Manhattan hot spot, describing the party as "pretty out of control."

The stars met three years ago on the set of their film The Last Song. They got engaged in the summer of 2012.
