With the release of the iPad 5 coming soon, tech experts are comparing the latest Apple tablet to the Google Nexus 10.

The iPad 5 has a rumored release date of Oct. 15 and is expected to have the same 9.7-inch screen as the iPad 4. This is comparable to the Nexus 10, which has the screen's inches right in the name.

The iPad 5 is also expected to stick with a dual-core processor while also doubling the performance quality of the iPad 4, according to projections by TheInquisitr. The Nexus 10 comes with a dual-core processor while some newer Android tablets come with a quad-core processor.

One of the new capabilities for the iPad 5 may be the ability to charge the tablet wirelessly. Rumors of this wireless charger began with one of Apple's latest patents: an "integrated inductive charging in protective cover." The Smart Cover for the tablet may have the capability of charging the iPad on its own.

The color options for the new iPad are expected to be the same as the iPhone 5s: gold, silver and space gray. The current Nexus 10 only comes in black.

As for price rates, history dictates that the new iPad will replace the prices of the last model. This means that prices will be $499 for the WiFi-only 16GB iPad 5, $599 for the 32GB tablet, $699 for the 64GB tablet and $799 for the 128GB tablet.

Comparatively, the current 16GB Nexus 10 comes in at $399 while the 32GB comes in at $499. Though both are cheaper than their Apple counterparts, the downside is that there are no models above 32GB.
