Sia wrote a song for Beyonce's new album, the Australian singer-songwriter revealed Oc.t 1 on Twitter.

The song Elastic Heart, a Sia and Diplo collaboration featured on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack, was released on Oct. 1. As Sia announced the release of the song on her Twitter account, one of her fans complimented the track by saying that it should have been used as the first single for Beyonce's upcoming album, to which Sia responded: "I gave her my other best song!"

When asked if the song was Standing on the Sun, a collaboration between Sia and Beyonce that was released earlier this year, Sia suggested that it was a brand new, yet unheard song. She has written songs for the likes of Rihanna and Christina Aguilera in the past.

Considering details about Beyonce's fifth studio album have been kept under wraps, this one comes as quite a reveal. The album doesn't have an official release date yet and Beyonce reportedly refused to release the first single off of the album, as she wanted to ensure that "it was a classic."

An unnamed source spoke to The Sun about the new album and Beyonce's decision to hold off on unveiling the first song.

"Beyonce is a perfectionist - and her biggest competition is herself," the source said. "She won't put anything out as her first single until she's 100 percent sure it will be a classic. She's putting pressure on herself for it to be a hit of Single Ladies calibre, and to make sure she's on top of the game."
