Simon Cowell' s ex-girlfriend, Sinitta recently clarified that she didn't abort the 'X Factor' judge's child four years ago behind his back.

The 49-year-old British singer, whose full name is Sinitta Renay Malone said the abortion actually happened two decades ago and that the decision was mutual.

"People are saying I aborted Simon's baby in 2009 and that he only found out the other day," she told the UK Sun. "That's all lies - I'd never do that to him."

"It was in the 1980s, not 2009, as by then I was already aware that I couldn't carry a child full term," Malone said. "It was a long time ago when we were both young. Simon was very concerned and by my side."

The singer who's made headlines in the wake of Simon's current relationship and pregnancy with New York socialite, Lauren Silverman explained to the paper of her depressing days dealing with her own pregnancy and the decision to not have the baby.

"It was very upsetting and it was something very difficult that we dealt with together," the singer said. "It's such a heartbreaking thing to go through. It was devastating for both of us."

Enstars reported earlier that Cowell gushed about his unborn son from ultrasound photos and is excited to becoming a first-time father.

"I went to see a scan today and it is just surreal," Cowell told the Times of the U.K. in an interview last month. "You literally see this thing which is now alive moving around. I feel very paternal right now."
