Miley Cyrus sang Wrecking Ball and an acoustic version of We Can't Stop on Saturday Night Live Oct. 5 while also hosting the show and poking fun at herself.

The 20-year-old took to the stage with Wrecking Ball wearing an oversized black sweatshirt that she wore as a dress, an oversized chain necklace and minimal makeup. The music video for the song was released on Sept. 9 and the track got Cyrus her first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list. We Can't Stop bumped down Katy Perry's Roar for the top honor. Cyrus previously only managed to go No. 2 with her songs: We Can't Stop and 2009's Party in the U.S.A.

She sings the following in the chorus:

"I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was wreck me
Yeah you, you wreck me."

Cyrus took the stage once more with an acoustic take on We Can't Stop, the first single off her Bangerz album. She changed into white pants and a matching, mesh top for the set, and was accompanied by three men playing guitar. Earlier in the show she spoofed the same song with a version called We Did Stop that made light of the government shutdown currently happening in the United States.

In the remake video, Cyrus plays Michele Bachman and the skit ends with her groping the Speaker of the House John Boehner over his mesh bra top.
