Avril Lavigne and her husband Chad Kroeger collaborated on a new song called Let Me Go.

The tune, however, isn't about a happy relationship. Instead, it discusses one gone wrong.

"Love that once hung on the wall used to mean something but now it means nothing. The echoes are gone in the hall but I still remember the pain of December," Lavigne sings.

Lavigne and Kroeger wed in July outside the Château de la Napoule, a 14th century castle in Mandelieu, France. The ceremony was part of a three-day celebration that started with a rehearsal dinner in Cannes, E! News reported. It was a small celebration, holding about 50 of the couple's closest friends and family.

More Albums Coming This Fall 2013

Kroeger and Lavigne have worked together before. The Nickelback frontman wrote Here's To Never Growing Up, a song off Lavigne's upcoming self-titled record. Their new collaboration will also appear on the Canadian native's fifth studio album expected on Nov. 5. This will be her first album on Epic Records. Lavigne was formerly on RCA.

"When you really hear it, it's diverse," she recently told Billboard about the forthcoming record. "Also I worked with a lot of new people so I experimented with the production and lyrically really pushed myself and there's a lot of storytelling and there's a lot of depth throughout the whole record."

The record will also include a song with Marilyn Manson, whom she met when she was 18 years old. Lavigne described the song, titled Bad Girl, as "darker and heavier."

"We've always gotten along really well," she said about Manson. "He's deep, he's creative, he's mysterious. I think he's extremely artistic and I respect his art."
