Beyonce is reportedly gearing up to release her new single, XO later this year.

According to reports, the singer who's currently on her Mrs. Carter World Tour plans to release the new song around her husband, Jay Z's birthday which is Dec. 4. However, The New York Daily News pointed out that Beyoncé decided to wait until early December so her single will come out right after Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Miley release their albums.

The publication also noted that Beyonce initially planned to release a "big song" earlier this year, but kept pushing it back when she realized she wasn't going to have any competition.

"Many in the music industry have gotten intel that Beyoncé will put out a single in the fourth quarter, some time from late November to early December," a source said. "It's an official single and it's timed perfectly to push out all the others. It will be out before the end of the year."

The source added that Ole Music Publishing in Nashvile is currently putting the last touches on the track and will hand it to Columbia Records.

A second source revealed that Beyonce has tried hard to hide what she's been working on in the studio and only played "XO" minimally while she shot the video in Coney Island, Brooklyn in August with celebrity photographer, Terry Richardson.

The track has an anticipated release date of Dec. 3.

Enstars reported that Beyonce also shot a video at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School, which is located on Clermont Ave and Vanderbilt--less than a mile from Barclays Center.

The streets were filled with video assistants, trucks and security personnel. Beyonce was not seen on set, but her bodyguard Julius was seen exited the school.
