The Ohio team started of the season with a loss to the Calgary Flames but managed to rally in order to beat the New York Islanders and the Buffalo Sabres. Columbus' last matches against the Boston Bruins, the Detroit Red Wings, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Washington Capitals have all resulted in defeats. Recntly, the Blue Jackets managed to pull out two rare wins against the Vancouver Canucks and the New Jersey Devils. Columbus is currently in fifth place for the Metropolitan Division with eight points, according to ESPN.
