When Bates Motel returns for season 2 in 2014, viewers will be introduced to Norma's (Vera Farmiga) brother, who will recount a very different story of their childhood than Norma.

Kenny Johnson (Sons of Anarchy), who will play Norma's brother Caleb in season 2, recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about his character and where's he's coming from. While Norma recalled Caleb forcing her to have sex with him as a child in the revelatory season 1 finale, Caleb will have a different recollection.

"He has his version and she has her version," Johnson explained. "Obviously in an episode last season, she says [her] brother used to rape [her] in high school, so that's all her son knows. But what is the real story and what's the background, nobody is really going to know."

Caleb will visit Norma in White Pine Bay in the hopes of reconnecting with her and mending fences between them. Johnson teased, "As crazy as it can get, it gets," as Caleb tries to reconcile their relationship.

Johnson previously told TVLine about his new role, joking about how comfortable he was in getting into the character.

"I come on as Norma's brother, Caleb, who used to have sex with her through their childhood," Johnson said. "Which is kind of weird, yeah. So that's really a comfortable thing to get into!"
