Two scientists have reportedly put together a theorem that can prove the existence of God.

While the scientific debate over the existence still remains up in the air, ABC News reported that it's a "real step forward" on "how computers can make scientific progress simpler."

The respective researchers are stating that they've proven there's a theorem put forth by historic Austrian mathematician Kurt Godel through numbers and equations.

Using a normal MacBook computer, Christopher Benzmuller and colleague Bruno Woltzenlogel Paleo proved that Godel's information was correct, at least in terms of math logic.

Although it's not showing the existence of God himself, it's said that it could uncover more "in scientific fields" for such a discovery by "using superior technology."

Bringing such theorems into fruition and the latest advances of computer technology "opens up all kinds of possibilities," stated the news site.

Benzmuller, who's a member of Berlin's Free University, spoke about the advantages that computer technology has afforded the world of science and the doors it has opened up in terms of opportunity.

"It's totally amazing that from this argument led by Godel, all this stuff can be proven automatically in a few seconds or even less on a standard notebook," he told Spiegel Online.
