The soccer team at Real Madrid is looking to extend their winning streak as they face off against Rayo Vallecano at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Real Madrid (8-1-2) will be visiting Rayo Vallecano (3-0-8) on the latter's home turf at Estadio de Vallecas in Madrid, Spain. Real Madrid is third in the La Liga standings with 25 points with Rayo Vallecano ranking at no. 19 with only nine points.

On first glance, this matchup seems like a no brainer for Real Madrid to take home another victory, but Rayo Vallecano hasn't give up hope.

"It's a very nice game," Rayo Vallecano midfielder Adrian told ESPN. "One is always eager to play against these opponents. It's true that we're in a lowly position, but if you look at the table then three points would put us back in a very good position."

He added that it is too soon to panic as his team goes into a tough match.

"I know that this team will fight to the very end," he said. "Clearly it will be difficult to hurt a team like Madrid, who are one of the world's best five."

Real Madrid is coming off a big loss to Barcelona last week but they should be able to take on Rayo Vallecano, who are currently sitting in the relegation zone in the standings.
