Justin Bieber recounts the heartbreak he felt after a certain breakup in his new ballad Bad Day.

The singer previously teased fans with a snippet of the song on Sunday via an Instagram video. He captioned the clip, "Me singing bad day ;)." Wearing a black cap, Bieber sang the line, "Life was so unpredictable, never thought a love like yours would leave me all alone."

Perhaps the song, released on Monday, could be dedicated to his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez. The young couple began dating in 2011 but broke up in late 2012. Rumors of them getting back together fueled several times in 2013 when photos of the two surfaced online.

For example, Bieber uploaded an Instagram a photo of him sitting topless in a chair as Gomez hugged him from behind. He captioned the April shot, "'You've been making music for too long babe come cuddle' - her."
