Taylor Swift took the stage at the Country Music Awards to perform her hit song, Red.

Swift took a quiet approach while performing the title track of her latest album. Surrounded by various musicians, the singer sat while she gently serenaded the audience with her well-known lyrics. The young musician seemed to be taking advantage of the event to give a performance she may not be able to wrangle during a regular concert.

Nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Swift was also up for Single of the Year, Musical Event of the Year, Music video of the Year in conjunction with Tim McGraw.

The 23-year-old singer released her fourth studio album, Red, in October of 2012 and rode its tidal wave of success all the way through 2013. Embarking on the third tour of her career, Swift performed her album across North America from March to September. In December, the singer is set to tour Australia and New Zealand while heading off to Germany and England after the New Year.
